A16 - An Impatient Cleric tending his Patients

After the long rest in the Oni’s chamber, Sudieman is the first to climb down avoiding the well below. Fakeem casts Animal Friendship trying to converse with the jaguar before the Ogre statue but is met with silence as the creature continues to stare toward the doorway (its ears twitching). Only when Sudie approaches the statue does the jaguar stand and pad menacingly toward…and past him; standing before the doorway as if inspecting the walls. And that’s when Fakeem’s own panther begins to miss. Suddenly a cat fight! The jaguar soon dead from Fakeem’s arrows. Meanwhile, Daizee climbs the Ogre statue while Sudie casts Detect Magic then stoops to pick up a magical flail from the discarded pile at the statues’ feet.

A15 -Crypt Keeper

Sudieman was already walking back to the wall cave-in that exposed this crypt, “Nothing here for us; I’m not touching that axe nor defiling a burial.” “But if Daizee were here, she'd…; if Kavar were here he’d want the magic he detected inside the sarcophagus, …if Dyxon were here…wait he is here.” [just Ian playing his character since Ian failed to bring his own Fakeem] And so it was the halfling monk talked the others into despoiling the crypt, “Now if you’ll only be so kind as to remove the stone cover.”

Inside the coffin etched with fair warnings, they found the decaying body. His face covered in a bejeweled mask with a large jade diadem in the forehead. Bracelets covering his arms; rings on his curled fingers. Kevar having detected 6 magical items (not counting the axe still embedded in the wall pinning the shadowy arm), “The bracers, those rings and something else in his pocket, the small statue at his feet, and the jug.” So like good-little-grave-robbers, Dyxon and Diero begin prying at the fingers to get at the rings. And that’s when the eyes open! And the dust within the coffin begins to bind about the bones as skin reforming. “Aaah, such pleasant sleep and timely re-awakening! Someone not afraid of warnings.”
